I KNOW I KNOW YOU I may be mistaken babe Right or wrong, you’ll never know now I may be mistaken babe Right or wrong, it never shows now I know I know you but I just cannot place it I know I know you but I just cannot trace it You said you’d always be there Always be my friend But now you’re gone and I’m all alone And I’m on my own again Well, you took all I gave you and you walked away You don’t care now I asked you to help me and you walked away We don’t share now I know I know you but I just cannot place it I know I know you but I just cannot trace it I thought it was worth my time To get to know you well But since you’ve gone I just can’t tell If I should try again I know I know you but I just cannot place it I know I know you but I just cannot trace it You said you’d always be there Always be my friend But now you’re gone and I’m all alone And I’m on my own again ★

THIS TIME TOMORROW When I’ve said all I’ve got to say And you’re moving away Are you still gonna see my way This time tomorrow When I’ve done all I can About what I feel and am Are you still gonna give a damn This time tomorrow When I’ve told you all I plan Are you still gonna understand When I reach out for your hand In joy or sorrow Do I have to tell you Do I have to say That all we ever needed Was to see each other’s way When we’ve left all the queues And done what we’re going to do Will we be in each other’s shoes This time tomorrow When we’ve left all the faces That we thought we would always wear Will we have left some traces Anywhere Do we have to tell you Do I have to say Do we have to reach you Will we find our way And all we ever needed Was to see each other’s way ★

The Mirror 05:05
THE MIRROR I see my image is cast upon the wall I see the mirror but I don’t know what it’s for Reflected in a moment I can see all I am Passing on the light well I’m doing what I can Now I’m gonna fly high I’m gonna fly high Waves crest and crash in the rhythm of my waking Moving through the past I can feel foundations shaking Reflected on the screen I can see what might have been In others who before who had the strength to dream Now I’m gonna fly high I’m gonna fly high We want to say we love you We want to say it so We want to say we can feel you But the words they will not flow We want to say we love you We want to say it so We want to say we believe in you But the words they will not flow The words they will not The words they will not The words they will not flow I can see the people move through the tides and the times From the past to future they will sing the same old rhymes Displayed before our eyes we can see eternal plays Merging into one as time begins to say Now I’m gonna fly high I’m gonna fly high ★

about

The Blaze Tape, by Mark Drower and the Everyones.

Mark Drower and the Everyones was as ensemble of teachers and students from The King’s Grammar School, Ottery St Mary, Devon.

Mark Drower was the leader of the project. He was the new religious studies teacher, and a composer and musician of understated yet hugely inspirational quality.

Mark wrote and performed the songs and directed the play. Simon Miller, then in the sixth form and now known as Pok, played lead guitar.

The Everyones were the cast of the play Everyone by Frederick Franck, which was the focus of their drama and music activities during Project Week in July 1982.

Who were The Everyones?

Some of the cast and crew travelled down to Torquay for the day to make this beautiful collection of songs. Altogether a company of 17 people visited the studios that day.
