SAME OLD ROAD AGAIN Now I know it’s hard The struggle and pain You just get up on your feet And you’re in trouble again Now I know it’s hard You don’t have to tell me But when you say: “Let’s play it again!” Just what do you mean? There’s that look in your eyes I think you’re telling me lies And we’re walking back down that same old road again We will come to the same old end The time has come to be moving on It’s safe to say that it’s over and done Nothing is easy Nothing in this world Should make us change our minds And get together again We made a good sound Ideas were found But it seems we all move In different ways Look into the eyes Deceitfully wise And we’re walking back down that same old road again We will come to the same old end The time has come to be moving on It’s safe to say that it’s over and done And we’re walking back down that same old road again We will come to the same old end The time has come to be moving on It’s safe to say that it’s over and done Words by George Davies. The Warning 07:12
THE WARNING The world’s going crazy but what can we do Confusion and madness all around you Read the signs, heed the warning Enemy aircraft darken the sky Sirens are screaming “We’re all going to die!” Read the signs, heed the warning A world that’s in trouble is no place to be So come from the heavens, come set us free Read the signs, heed the warning Words by George Davies. DOWN AT THE ELEPHANT FAYRE It’s the summertime and you know what that means Better get your tent and your sleeping bag You better get out your thumb and stand by the side of the road You better get yourself ready for another crazy time Down at the Elephant Fayre Put your hip clothes on and see who’s going too You better suss that lift or they’ll be hitching too Try to find out who’s playing, not that you really care Better get yourself ready for another crazy time Down at the Elephant Fayre Down at the Elephant Fayre There’s milk and honey of a different kind There’s fun and laughs, enough to blow your mind Anything you could need you will surely find Better get yourself ready for another crazy time Down at the Elephant Fayre Down at the Elephant Fayre Down at the Elephant Fayre Down at the Elephant Fayre Down at the Elephant Fayre Words by George Davies. STARLIGHT DREAM Obscured by a light in the corner of an eye Awakening from a dream held in the sky Stars shine bright, galactic night Pathways to other worlds Moving through the spacelanes tonight The star chasers A shaft of light stretches dawn across the sky Breezes like fond memories now blow A cosmic flight on wings so light Through patterns, colours, lives Loving it and hoping for some more The dream makers Words by George Davies. WON’T YOU COME AROUND MY WAY Well I’ve come around here and I ain’t doing much Just paying a visit to keep in touch After a while I try the upstairs flat There’s nothing to say when we’ve run out of chat Well I knock on the door of this guy I hardly know And he greets me I stay for a while then I’m wanting to go But this other guy’s got something on his knee What could that be…?! Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way There’s four of us here, we’re not saying a word One’s looking out of the window We’re sitting around and we can hear the sounds Of music on the stereo And rustling… Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way I hear a click and I see a spark so I turn around In the centre of a cloud of smoke I see a man with a big grin on his face And who can blame him Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way Won’t you come around my way Words by George Davies. Two Timer 04:57
TWO TIMER Low down dirty mean double crosser Slow down, make you scream, call a copper I want to give you a warning about a woman that I know Just when you think she’s yours you won’t be the only one She’ll play you around, she’ll move around She’ll lay you down Two timer two timer two timer two timer Two timer two timer two timer She’ll lay you low I had her for a while Was a very short while I had her, made me smile Was a very broad smile But then I found about this other guy And he found out about me She’ll play you around, she’ll move around She’ll lay you down Two timer two timer two timer two timer Two timer two timer two timer She’ll lay you low Black eye, don’t know why, howling on the sidewalk Scream, shout, sort it out, come and have a good talk It’s time to decide on what we must do And I think that I will be leaving you You play me around, you move around You lay me down Two timer two timer two timer two timer Two timer two timer two timer She’ll lay you low Words by George Davies.
