Fun Facts:
* Lucky Stone is an intriguing track, with all its different styles and sound effects.
* Its moods encompass jazz, rock, reggae, funk and sea shanty.
* Lucky Stone describes a day at the seaside when George took his young son and new girlfriend to Sidmouth.
* There was a sudden thunderstorm and everyone was soaked.
* The sound of the thunder and the playing children represent those memories.
* The new girlfriend gave George a stone from the beach that day.
* It was a talisman for the duration of their relationship and lived in the dashboard of George’s car.
* Lucky Stone also describes a fortunate and unexpected encounter with a trader on the same day, who had an excess of goods he could impart.
* Lucky Stone started coming together the day Dave and George first played with Adi on drums in Bandspace in October 2000.
* Flicker were also auditioning a possible singer called Vince, and his mate came too.
* They were both sailors in the Royal Navy, on leave.
* Each had a large bottle of vodka and they both got absolutely smashed while Flicker were setting up.
* Poor Vince felt quite embarrassed because his mate started getting a bit out of order.
* He had to be stopped from playing Adi’s drums and fiddling with the settings on the amps.
* Soon after, the pair were forcibly ejected.
* The origin of the tune was the reggae section.
* Dave’s bassline is performed on the Fender.
* The acoustic guitar plays both electric guitar parts.
* The low electric guitar and reggae parts were played using Nicodemus.
* The higher rhythm parts and swoops were performed on the Ice Maiden.
* It starts in E major, morphs into E minor and ends on a G major.
* No ducks were harmed during the making of this tune – although it was close.
