Fun Facts:
* It Starts Right Here is a piece that George wrote on guitar as some riffs and key changes that he found interesting.
* Dave then put everything into Logic and added the synths and percussives and this is the result.
* He was going to play a bassline but he and George both rather liked what he had already made using a slap bass sound, and so it remained.
* It Starts Right Here was originally destined for a place on Flicker’s first album, At Least 1000 Words.
* It was also intended to be one side of a double B-side single, along with Oily Road Hideaway from that album.
* When everyone realised that At Least 1000 Words was going to be too long for a CD, something had to go.
* It was decided that It Starts Right Here was the tune to make way.
* It would have appeared in the middle of the album.
* Flicker felt that it seemed like a good piece to begin their next album, due to both its title and its feel.
* It Starts Right Here is a piece about moving on in life.
* The title comes from the moment when you realise the inevitability of a romantic relationship that is ending, and that you know someday soon, after meeting a new lover, you will have to do it all over again… again.
* The key for this track is C minor, with visits to G minor.
* The key change is up to Eb minor and visits to Bb minor.
* The guitar parts were played using the Ice Maiden played through a vintage Marshall stack.
* This is without any doubt the most cut/copy/pasted Flicker piece of them all.
